There is no basic free version, and although it is a very good app, when you do purchase it, the price is double what they say (v.a.t. Gets added) and although it says one off payment, it doesn't allow you to carry the key to another computer.
So if replace your pc, then you have to re-purchase the key. I have a mixer by AVS, I paid one small payment 10 years ago and it covers all their products, not just the mixer, and the key lasts forever. I've had 4 pc's and it has worked on them all, and as long as I keep the code handy somewhere, it works every time.
