Hi all, I just got a cheap Magicforce 68 from Amazon and I have a quick question about using it with my MacBook (apologies if this is a stupid question, I'm not super experienced with keyboards!). So far it's working great and I really like it - the Command and Alt buttons are reversed but I think I can learn to live with that. One thing I can't figure out though, is on a Mac you switch between windows of a particular app by pressing Command +. On the Magicforce that doesn't seem to work, maybe because the key is also the escape key? This is unfortunately a feature I use a lot, so I'd love to get it back. Is there any way that anyone knows of to get that functionality working again, or another key combination that would do the same thing?Thanks!!.
Got this, and returned it. Well they advertised it having Cherry MX switches, and what did it have?
Well when I popped off the keycaps I noticed there were two types of cherry mx switches, not sure which were the real ones and which were the knockoffs but they had different fonts. And then here comes the kicker, 2 of the switches (maybe more) were 'Kalih' switches.wtf?
That's when i said, okay this is either a knock off keyboard or Qisan sucks in their quality control department. Also, amongst some of the switches some were more clicky than others which prompted me to pop off the keycaps in the first place.
I went ahead and bought a refurbished Corsair STRAFE for about $20 less and it was phenomenal in terms of quality. A couple days later the TOMOHAWK keyboard came on sale for $26 with Outemu switches and they actually feel better than the cherry mx ones on my STRAFE. A lot more clickier and tactile, heavier, aluminum, no light but nbd, I never paid attention to that anyway. TOMOHAWK is the way to go, forget magicforce.
Excellent keyboard - solid build, genuine Cherry MX switches, perfect size. Age of empires 2 vs 3. ANSI layout, and since it uses Cherry MX switches, it's very easy to change the keycaps if desired.Wish it was available in black with Cherry MX switches (you can get it in black with Gateron switches). I have a bunch of hand problems and needed a keyboard that didn't cause me a lot of pain. I got this in the hope that the mechanical keys would help, and they are a huge improvement over my laptop.
It's a little loud, but that's to be expected- and it's not that much louder than a normal keyboard. Very portable and light, but be warned that if you take this thing to the coffee shop, everyone will bug you about how cool your keyboard looks. Because it's a seriously good looking piece of equipment. The price can't be beat either.
I purchased this keyboard to be my companion, I’m a digital nomad and I wanted a mechanical keyboard that will fit in my carry on bag. I picked this keyboard up with cherry MX brown switches and absolutely love it.
If you’re looking for a new mechanical keyboard and don’t want to spend a ton of money, you can’t go wrong with these.Pros-Perfect size, if you can live without the number pad this will easily fit on any desk or workstation-The keyboard worked with my Macbook right out of the box, no drivers needed.-They are genuine MX Cherry Brown switches, and feel great to type on. I’m not exaggerating when I say my typing speed has gone up and errors have gone down thanks to switching over to a mechanical keyboard.-For genuine cherry mx switches, you really can’t beat the price. If you’ve been thinking about trying out blues or browns, this is a stealCons-The layout takes a little getting used to, the ESC key is also. I haven’t closed an application by accident trying to type yet but I have a feeling it’s coming-The font on the keycaps is annoying, I did a double take at the 0 key first time I saw it, wondering if it was both parentheses on one key as it looks like ( ). It’s not a deal breaker, I plan on swapping out the keycaps with a set I got from MassDrop (they are nice enough to include a key puller with the keyboard)-It’s insanely light, I’m putting this as a con because usually heft is attributed with quality. A full bottle of water weighs more than the Magicfoce 68, I’ve had non-mechanical keyboards weigh much more.Overall the keyboard is awesome, and I absolutely love it.
If you’re a newbie trying to decide between blue and brown, it comes down to noise. Blues are LOUD, if you work in an office/near other people, they will get annoyed. The ‘clack’ is sorta similar to typewriters, you can hear the other person typing on one in a Skype conversation.Browns are softer, but have less of a noticeable ‘bump’ when you press them down. If you work in a public space, you won’t annoy any of your neighbors. Got this, and returned it.

I purchased the blue switch variant and wow does this sound and feel amazing! I was debating between this and brown and opted for the blue since sound is not an issue and it's solely for typing and aesthetics on my desk as I do not game. The keyboard only lights up blue for the blue switch variant, but it does give you the option for brightness and for breathing effects. It's compact but is still right size in my opinion not to take up too space on a desk setup but get the job done well.
It works on macs, and some of the FN keys actually perform mac functions. It feels premium, has a decent weight to it and sounds great, look not further!
